About Habitat 4 Paws
Habitat 4 Paws is an animal rescue group in the DFW area whose mission is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a volunteer staffed adoption facility and foster program. Prior to adoption, all rescued dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and tested for common diseases.
H4P’s goal is to acquire and operate an adoption facility in the Frisco or nearby area and to invite community participation in ways that will benefit rescued animals.
Beyond just sheltering animals, we want to be proactive in other areas that will help keep animals out of municipal shelters. Paws Pantry animal-food bank collects and distributes dog and cat food to those in need. H4P will host microchip clinics so that animals will have a permanent ID and can be reunited with their owners.
We also foresee having educational programs, including importance of good animal health, behavior and training.
About Operation Kindness
Operation Kindness is the original and largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas
Since our founding in 1976 Operation Kindness has saved the lives of nearly 90,000 homeless animals. We never turn an animal away because of the cost for medical care, and we take pride in our ability to treat and rehabilitate any dog or cat and give them the opportunity to experience a good quality of life.
North Texas daily faces the challenge of how to tackle the homeless pet population issue. Operation Kindness daily serves as the “go to” facility for 45 municipal shelters and rescue groups who have run out of space or have animals in need of medical services. Our community relies on us to save lives.

Adult’s plate will be a full three pounds of bugs with veggies on top and a child’s plate will be 1.5 pounds then comes the veggies! We do not count veggies as crawfish weight! Grab a seat/table plan to stay for a while! EVENT day (walk up) “ticket sales” will be allowed BUT better to buy now so we know how many pounds to bring. We have THREE crawfish boiling rigs and can handle as many pounds as you can eat! Last year was just under 4000 pounds… nice!!
Additional food items will be sold from The Reservoir’s regular menu and a special event menu to help keep the kitchen flowing, etc will be offered too for non-crawfish eaters. The Reservoir promises more wait staff with faster ticket times on both their menu and drinks!
MORE details soon………but this event will be heavily marketed throughout Frisco and surrounding cities so look for a big turn out and some great tasting crawfish to help raise money for a great cause! In the last two years we donated over $8000 to habitat4paws.org!
P.S. To the DIE HARD crawfish eaters: If you have tried “ours” before you know the difference between ours and others! We boil in one pot then transfer them to a second pot that we keep at 150F or below so the crawfish stop……cooking but do soak in the dry/liquid blend we use!
